Sad, but understandable.
Today, Ronnie Sabia, who everyone just calls 'The Dyslexic Kid,' showed up at school in an Iron Man costume. He was first spotted by 8th grade bully Matt Fielder, who shouted on the school bus: "Everybody look! The dyslexic kid thinks it's Halloween!"
We hate to encourage bullying, but in this case it's totally spot on. The Dyslexic Kid fucked up, and he deserves to be called out.
We reached out to The Dyslexic Kid's parents to find out why they didn't stop him from leaving the house wearing a full costume for Tony Stark's superhero alter ego. His mother provided the following statement: "He has to learn. He has to learn the difference between 13 and 31. If I stop him and enable him, he's going to go through life thinking I will always be there to tell him when his dyslexia is kicking in. Hopefully the bullies get to him and teach him a lesson."
Wow. Pretty aggressive move on the mother's part. Not sure how we feel about it.
Either way, let's hope the day goes smoothly for The Dyslexic Kid.
